Not Just The Daily Grind
The alarm clock goes off. The news on the radio sound like a re-broadcast of last year’s headlines. Economic woes, social strife, environmental damage. It’s Monday. The phone’s ringing off the hook, and you haven’t even made it to the office yet. Before the taste of coffee passes over your taste buds, the aroma of fresh ground coffee beans turns a potentially bad day into a mellow one. Whether you open a package yourself in the kitchen or you stop at the nearest coffee bar and pick up a cup, there is nothing like the smell of fresh ground coffee.Even those who are not coffee drinkers confide that they are often swayed in the direction of the aroma.

If the pace of work and career becomes a toxin to the spirit, then let the smell of fresh ground coffee be the antidote. Wake up and really smell the coffee. (although coffee drinkers may spend hours debating the source of great coffee, the unofficial unanimous vote goes to Kona coffee from the big island of Hawaii.) If you cannot grind your own beans, leave home a few minutes early, head to the local coffee shop and just inhale.
